The fine print
At ThirstBat, we know how much fun can be had over a few beers. But we're also mindful of the risks - heavy drinking can lead to illness, injury, or something much worse.
When using ThirstBat, you must always take care to drink responsibly. Never drink more than you can handle, and always stay safe when you are under the influence of alcohol. We do not promote binge drinking in any way, shape or form.
All of our products are meant for recreational use and do not require the consumption of alcohol in order to function. A thirst can be suitably smashed with simply ice cold water or a sports drink! We are therefore in no way responsible for any over-consumption of alcohol while using ThirstBat. Anyone consuming alcohol with a ThirstBat does so with the understanding that he or she is solely responsible for the amount consumed, and does so at his or her own risk.
Also, don't ever consume spirits via a ThirstBat! The alcohol content of spirits is far higher than that of beer. There's a reason for why we don't call it a vodka bong!
Terms and Conditions
On completion of purchase it is acknowledged that the below terms and conditions have been accepted by the customer.
We endeavour to ship completed orders within 48 hours of a successful purchase. This however is subject to change should we experience higher than anticipated order volumes.
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at email@example.com.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and send your item to: Great North road Auckland Auckland NZ 1021.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

- generally customising your experience on our sites; or for general administrative and business purposes.
3. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
- any group companies of ours who may use and disclose your information for the same purposes as us;
- those who provide to us or our group companies products or services that support the services that we provide;
- anyone we transfer our business to in respect of which you are a customer or a potential customer;
- anyone who assists us in protecting our computers, networks and systems, including the use of monitoring and detection in order to identify potential threats, such as hacking and virus dissemination and other security vulnerabilities;
- anyone who hosts or maintains computer systems or data centres, service platforms and other infrastructure and systems on behalf of us and our group companies, where your information is processed (which may be outside New Zealand);
- persons to whom we may be required to pass your information by reason of legal, governmental or regulatory authority including law enforcement agencies and emergency services;
- aggregated user statistics and other information that does not personally identify you, to third parties such as our advertisers, customers, potential customers and partners; or
- any person or organisation as authorised by the Privacy Act 1993, including with your prior authorisation which we will usually obtain at the time of collecting the information from you. If you have not opted out of receiving marketing material from us, we may also provide your personal information to carefully selected third parties who we reasonably believe provide products or services that may be of interest to you and who have contracted with us to keep the information confidential, or who are subject to obligations to protect your personal information.
4. PROTECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
- We will take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we collect, use or disclose is accurate, complete, up-to-date and stored in a secure environment protected from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
5. ACCESSING AND UPDATING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
- You have the right to access personal information about you if we hold that personal information in away that it can be readily retrieved, subject to some exceptions provided at law. You may request access to the personal information we hold about you by sending an email to email@example.com. Please provide your name and address. We would be grateful if you could also provide brief details of what information you want a copy (this helps us to more readily locate your data).
- In some cases, there may be a charge associated with providing copies of your personal information to you. If so, we will advise you of this prior to sending your information to you.
- We will not be able to provide your personal information if we do not know or don’t have reasonable grounds to believe it is personal information about you or if disclosing the information would involve the unwarranted disclosure of the affairs of another individual.
- You can request correction or amendment of the information held by us at any time and as often as necessary by sending us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and specifying the information you require to be changed. If it is reasonable in the circumstances for us to do so, we will make the requested change or correction, otherwise we’ll take reasonable steps to mark that information as having been subject to a change or correction request.
6. INTERNET USE
- We make every effort to maintain the security of our internet connections; however for reasons outside of our control, security risks may still arise. Any personal information transmitted to us or from our online products or services will therefore be at your own risk. However, we will use all reasonable efforts to ensure that any such information remains secure. We cannot protect any information that you make available to the general public – for example, on message boards or in chat rooms.
